Research Overview

Improving the accuracy, resolution, and scalability of phenotyping will lead to novel insights and therapies. The Arnaout lab is currently developing computational methods to bring precision phenotyping to biomedical imaging and related healthcare data like text, structured data, genetics, time series, and more. We take an experimental and translational approach to research design and validation. Topics of interest in the lab include computer vision, data diversity, model efficiency, translational deep learning, and generative modeling. Dr. Arnaout's background as a physician-scientist informs the future scope of this work as a technology that can transform non-invasive imaging into a big-data tool for both research and clinical use.
